Last Friday February 1, I helped to co-host a First Fridays event at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. The burlesque troupe – headed by the always fabulous Michelle L’Amour – was wonderful, as was the belly dancing, text messaging game, food and wine. At our Time Out Chicago table, we had a range of toys on display thanks to Early to Bed (a phenomenal woman-owned and run store in Chicago), Pure Romance and Babeland. We even had cheesecake thanks to Eli’s Cheesecake Company of Chicago… the chocolate hearts were out of this world. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try the white chocolate raspberry that we also had on hand (sigh).

In spite of the tons of snow that fell on Chicago on Thursday night and on Friday, we had hundreds of women and men turn out for the event. I had such a great time meeting readers of Time Out Chicago and my weekly In&Out column and could have talked all night. Thank you to everyone who came out.
