If only it were so easy! Even if you buy tights that are big on you (as I've done many times since my weight puts me in the small category but my height puts me in the medium category), they can still end up leaving slight marks on my body. There's just a heck of a lot of elastic in there - at least for women's tights. I don't know about men's tights, having never worn them before.

We'll see if this men's tights craze catches on or not... at the very least, men might discover the good side of how the tights can keep one warm in Fall and Winter!!

Tights and pantyhose are soft, lightweight, warm and comfortable so it is easy to see why men would want to wear them. In fact, a recent study showed that 40% of tights/pantyhose sold by a major on-line hosiery retailer were sold to male customers. Granted, some of these sales will be for fetish reasons, but I believe that it is a very small percentage.

Most of the men that wear tights or pantyhose do so for any one of a host of reasons - warmth; medical needs; comfort or simply because they like them. Most men that wear tights/pantyhose are not cross-dressers or gay. The reason that most men keep their legwear preferences to themselves is because of the vicious circle of social conditioning: Men don't wear tights/pantyhose publicly because they fear that the general public will think it is weird. Whereas the general public are likely to think it is weird because men don't wear tights/pantyhose in public - if it were to be an everyday occurrence, then no-one would think anything of it; this is much like the vicious circle that women had to break down when they started to wear trousers/pants and other clothes traditionally associated with men.

This is why there is a need for sites like e-mancipate; to spread the word about the fashion options for men's legwear and to educate the public about tights for men and pantyhose for men.

"They feel tight and they clean to your tummy, leaving impressions and marks for 10 minutes after you take them off"

1., If you buy the right size it's not tight. But you have to be honest regards to your weight.
2., Buy a pantyhose with a wide waistband and it won't leave any traces ever.
