I Just Made Love Web Site Maps Yours And Everyone Else’s Sex Life

You may have heard about IJustMadeLove.com, a web site that allows users to virtually map the places they’ve had sex in real life. Well, I assume it’s real life sex. Maybe some people are mapping their fantasies or their virtual sex with others. If you notice an unusual spike of sex reported in the vicinity of MIT labs, that may be your first clue.

Some thoughts on the concept:

-It could be a fun way to get a sexual map of a new city or to remind oneself that although sex remains a taboo topic, in fact it is indeed everywhere

- Those who feel excited/aroused by thinking about where people have sex may enjoy checking out where people have had sex (and yes, the positions they’ve used, which it also maps). Then again, others may be grossed out.

- People who would like to have sex somewhere public but can’t imagine how to get the job done may find the position data to be of help. So standing up sex doesn’t work well on that particular part of the street? What about oral sex? (Duh. If you need an app to figure this out…)

-  On the sad side, I can see how police might use this information to set up stings – something that is all too common in the gay community in regard to public spaces for sex (think parks and pubic restrooms). Perhaps if one really wants to keep their sex spot secret they shouldn’t broadcast it to the world.

Finally, one might wonder where the follow-up sites, such as WeJustHadSex, WeJustFucked (excuse the language, please, but let’s face it – having sex is not always about making love, especially in public spaces) or IJustGotOff for the masturbators out there.
