Learn About Lubricants! From Me! And Woman’s Day! And All These Exclamation Points!

lubricants for sex

Wow, can you say hyper? Sorry about that. I’m not sure what’s up with my excitement about exclamation points today except, let’s face it, lubricants can be pretty awesome.

Can they make sex more comfortable? Check.

Can they make sex more pleasurable? Check.

In doing so, might they even make it easier to orgasm? Check – particularly if just the right amount is applied (not too little, lest sex be uncomfy, but not too much lest it lack sensation).

In other words, lubricants are our friend! But will just any lubricant do for just any person? Of course not! We have lots of choices available to us on the internet, in drug stores, retail chains like Target and Walmart, and adult bookstore. Woman’s Day took the time to ask me for my thoughts on lubricants as our research team recently conducted a study on women’s use of lubricants and I devoted a lot of space in my book to talking about how to choose lubricants and how to use them for different types of sex (like sex in the shower, sex that lasts a long time, sex using certain types of sex toys, lubricants for oral sex, lubricants for anal sex, etc).

You can read the Woman’s Day article on their web site and you can learn even more ins and outs of lubrication shopping and play time in my big book of delicious sex (aka Because It Feels Good, which was recently named one of the “Best Sex Books To Give” – for which I am deeply honored).

[Woman's Day]

You can find Because It Feels Good at Powell’s, Barnes & Nobles, Borders, Strand Books, Amazon and many other wonderful shops around town and the interwebs. You might even be able to find it at your local library – if they don’t have a copy, ask them to order one! Libraries are awesome like that.
