Debby,
Thanks for covering the Sex::Tech Conference in San Francisco (www.sxtechconference.org). We at ISIS also love both the PACT team from NYC and the MTSS folks, although they are each doing something quite different. The PACT folks are a by youth for youth team, and a darn smart group they have gotten together - both to make realistic videos, and to get the youth voice heard about sex. MTSS folks are in their late 20s, which is still young, and come from the world of humor and comedians and videographers. I applaud them both, and we invited them both to come speak and be heard at the Sex::Tech conference by over 350 sex educators, youth, public health professionals and techies.

Thanks for coming Debby. Sorry we didn't meet in person!

Samantha, thanks for the love! There is indeed a good amount of controversy about the MTSS and it's mixed. They're reaching people in a way that many of us are not and, at the talk in San Francisco, they acknowledged that they would definitely do some episodes differently - such as their video on abstinence. (I haven't seen the STI video but now I feel like I should - thanks for the heads up!). And thanks, too, for recommending MSP to those in your peer ed group. I appreciate it!!

I love the Midwest Teen Sex Show! My sister told me about it a few months ago and I got hooked immediately. There are lots of controversies going around about the show (one even talked about on the Morning Show), some I agree with and some I don't. For example, I wasn't thrilled about the way they portrayed STI's in the Halloween episode back in October. For another example, I love the way they encourage masturbation as a "normal thing" that everyone and their mother does (most literally). Overall, I LOVE those shows-I recommend the the show to all the kids in my Peer Sex Ed programs. PS-I also recommend your website as one of my #1 most reliable sex resources :)
