MSP’s Thinking with your Dick #2
January 7th, 2008 | By Debby
In case you missed earlier conversations with Dick, you can read about him – and our sex talks – here.
Dr. Debby |
Have you seen the Forbes.com report on America’s "most lustful" cities? If not, don’t look! Off the top of your head – what cities would you pick and using what criteria to judge the cities that are “most lustful”? |
Dick |
first city that comes to mind… Tulsa, but that’s just a feeling. |
Dr. Debby |
Is that just because Tulsa spelled backwards is "a slut"? |
Dick |
wow, i didnt even realize. it also has ‘lust’ in the name. i’m sticking by it. my hunch was dead on. |
(Later on…) |
Dick |
i’m still trying to wrap my head around what they mean by lustful cities, and i’m fairly certain that Forces and I would define the word differently, but here are my top 5 (excluding Tulsa which we’ve already discussed)… |
Dr. Debby |
Okay, ready. |
Dick |
#5. NYC/Miami/San Fran – they’re the obvious choices, so i’m lumping them together. you didn’t say who was lusting over what, and since these three cities have a ton of people lusting over all sorts of crap, i’m putting them on the list. just about any dude on earth could get his dick wet in one of these cities by any number of people/things. everyone knows this, and it’s the reason so many people move there, therefore i deem it ‘lustful’ |
Dr. Debby |
I’m from Miami and it certainly is a hot bed of lust, but it’s low on things like mainstream adult bookstores/sex shops and high on sex workers, HIV/AIDS and other STIs. Next? |
Dick |
Austin, TX – i spent 18 hours there on business and wish i could go back. UT has tons of hot women, the weather is pretty good, and 6th street is basically Bourbon street with BBQ instead of Po Boys. to sum it up, one could lust for women, food, or weather and get it all, not to mention 10 gallon hats and belt buckles are totally acceptable accessories. |
(The rest of the conversation can be found after the jump).
Dr. Debby |
Also Austin is the jewel in the crown of an otherwise sex-negative state. Texas is famous for a lack of good sex education. #3? |
Dick |
#3. Key West, FL – i’ve never been, but i kinda just imagine every night to be like the scene in The Firm where tom cruise can’t help but have sex with that girl on the beach with all the tiki torches and outdoor bars. it ends up screwing up his whole life, but it still sorta seems worth it. that’s lust. |
Dr. Debby |
I never exactly thought that scene from The Firm made the whole life-ruining thing seem "worth it" but okay. Either way, Key West is certainly lustful but seems to have more opportunities for gay/bisexual men than straight men. Next? |
Dick |
#2. Atlantic City, NJ – its kind of a dump, but it defines lustful. forgive a poorly thought out analogy, but here goes…las vegas is like having making love to a beautiful woman. it’s sexy, new, confidence boosting, and ultimately you get your rocks off. AC, on the other hand, is like jerking off with cold hand lotion. it’s not sexy, its old, it’s embarassing, BUT, ultimately you get your rocks off just the same. what i mean is, the one constant between the two is that you will cum both ways. vegas and AC are similar. the feeling you have a the end is sorta the same, but the trip is entirely different. and since the only constant is this shared sense of lust, AC must be more lustful because it has nothing else going for it. also, its the only place i know of that still has ’street walkers’ out int he open . |
Dr. Debby |
Wow… I’m not really sure what to say here other than that I’m sorry that masturbating with cold hand lotion embarrasses you. As for the streetwalkers, check out Biscayne Blvd in Miami where it’s pretty out in the open, and the northeast side of Indy. Moving on though, what’s your #1 Most Lustful City? |
Dick |
#1. New Orleans, LA – this is too obvious to waste words on. i spent about a week there this summer and it was amazing. your whole day is built around having certain desires and trying to fulfill them wihtout anyone stopping you. in fact, everything is encouraged. what could be more lustful? oh, and i made out with a black chick with a perfect body in a bathroom in new orleans. that’s gotta count for something. what did forbes pick? |
Dr. Debby |
Denver, San Antonio, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City/Boise (seriously), DC (they could have relied on political scandals for this vote, but instead they still went with condom and contraceptive sales figures, which is how they selected their "most lustful" cities), Cinci (though they neglected to mention that Pure Romance is based shortly outside the city), Baltimore and Buffalo/Rochester. Again, based on condom/contraceptive sales (their list is here: http://www.forbes.com/2007/12/17/health-lust-cities-forbeslife-cx_rr_1217health.html ) |
Dick |
ok, this is the stupidest f*cking list i’ve ever seen. the places that buy condoms should be at the bottom of the list, not the top. if they were lusting so bad they’d just go out and bang anything they could, babies and STDs be damned. The first few on this should top the ‘most precautious’ list. |
Dr. Debby |
Thankfully many of us can mix our lust with safer sex too, though I agree that sales of condoms/contraceptives are probably not an accurate way of measuring "lust". Perhaps the Forbes list should be a list of the "Most Prepared for Sex". |
Dick |
salt lake city is actually a pretty good call. ever read Under The Banner Of Heaven? the mormons basically created a religion to justify banging multiple women at the same time, and made it totally acceptable to tap 13-year old virgins. i’ll give them some lust points. |
Dr. Debby |
Hey, most contemporary Mormons don’t subscribe to those ideas!! |
Dick |
On to Cincy – What is Pure Romance? unless its a Studio 54/Wal Mart hybrid in the suburbs, Cincy has no place on this list. |
Dr. Debby |
Pure Romance is one of the leading in-home romance party companies (think Tupperware parties, but they sell sex toys, lubricants and massage products instead). |
Dick |
DC, fine. plenty of college kids, politicians and poor people. lustful enough. |
Dr. Debby |
High STI rates too. DC has the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the country, though I don’t know that that makes a city "lustful" (just not suitable enough public health efforts). |
Dick |
Watch The Wire to figure out why Baltimore is wrong. |
Dr. Debby |
Though Baltimore does have a history of having had super high STI rates (including a pretty bad syphilis epidemic at one point) so using your "bang anything they could, babies and STDs be damned" philosophy, that should count for something. Then again, I’d say they had high STI rates because they are often very underserved. |
Dick |
and Buffalo/Rochester? they’re not even the same place. Why not just combine the Dakotas and put them on here… |
