Genitals in the Wild: Anthropologie’s Vulva Bikini

As many of you know, I study vulvas and vaginas including women’s and men’s attitudes toward female genitals, surgeries people choose to change parts of their vulva or vagina, female masturbation, genital symptoms and much more. I’m also writing a book, with a good friend and colleague, about vulvas and vaginas (exciting!). So I’m pretty much vagina-friendly as it goes.

I also really, really,  really like Anthropologie. We have a soft anthro bedspread at home and I wear an eccentric amount of their dresses.

But this vulva bikini? It’s probably not for me. If you like it, you can pre-order it from their May catalogue. Enjoy.And don’t tell me I’m the only one who sees a clear vulva on her vulva.

    Sorry. I feel like I am spam-ing you. But what you just wrote reminds me of photos of anatomically correct female dolls that I saw in a gothic art book at Barnes & Noble. Marina Bychkova makes them. Yep. Dolls with vaginas. I always find the oddest books.

    Also, that could be a vulva on the bikiki. However, it almost looked to me like a very subliminal head of a penis.
